Thanks for visiting my fundraising page and for considering helping me raise money for the Organization for Autism Research!  

In a few months, I'll be participating in Escape From Alcatraz - a triathlon that starts off from Alcatraz Island Prison.  While I'm incredibly excited about the experience, in an attempt to make my training benefit more than just myself, I have decided to raise money for the Organization for Autism Research (OAR). 

Autism affects roughly 1 in every 59 children, and the number of diagnosed cases has increased dramatically over the last several decades - a reality that a number of my family and friends are all too familiar with.  To that end, OAR seeks to fund research and resources that help deliver an immediate impact to people with autism and their families.  Donations to OAR go towards everything from funding elementary and middle school education on autism, to providing scholarships for students with autism to attend college, to full-scale applied research pilot studies on autism.
