Back in 2009, my oldest son, Steven, was diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.  A year later, my youngest, David, was also diagnosed as being on the Spectrum.  Not only that, I teach in a program that draws a lot of students who are also on the Autism Spectrum.  Almost every aspect of my personal and professional life is touched by Autism.

I do not want to find a "cure" for Autism.  My hope is that everyone on the Autism Spectrum finds a way to live their best life, with no more support than they need, and with every opportunity to be their best selves.  By raising money for OAR, I want to fund programs and research to better understand Autism.
