Since 2014, I've been running marathons and have experienced a lot of success in my endeavors. In my first attempt in Reykjavik, I qualified for the Boston Marathon and did even better in Boston. As a result, I took on a new goal of completing the World Major marathon (Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, New York). In 2016, I did four of them and I just finished running the Berlin Marathon this past September. This spring, in addition to running the Boston Marathon for the 4th time, I will be finishing the World Majors by running the London Marathon. 

To participate in the London Marathon, I've elected to work with a charity, the Organization for Autism Research, and raise money for them. OAR is an organization that wants to help people with autism as well as their families, lead normal lives. They provide funding for research that impacts the day-to-day quality of life for those with autism as well as resources for them, their families, and service providers. 

Now why would I work with OAR? To put it plainly, I have little to no connection with this organization. I selected them out of a list of US partners of the London Marathon based on their IRS forms that shows that most of the money donated went to the work they do and not to wasteful expenses like excessive CEO salaries.

This is the part where I ask you to donate. I've been fortunate enough to have a healthy life and to have a great group of friends and family to support me, but I see this as my opportunity to give back; I've already taken care of the minimum required amount for a number. So if you'd like to donate, know that you are donating because you want to to help OAR and their mission and I just happened to be the one to mention it to you.
