I'm not one to typically share information about when or why I run, however this year is different. This October I will be running my 3rd MCM10K, but it will be my first time running for OAR, and more importantly, I will be running in honor of my awesome nephew Ian!
Ian was recently diagnosed with Autism, but there is SO much more to him than that... He's smart and funny. He LOVES Pac Man and creating things with Legos. He loves playing with his cousins and could spend hours playing at the park.
While I have donated to OAR for years through my best friend's marathon fundraising efforts, I knew that this year I had to do more, and with the support of Ian's parents I am so excited to be running for him this year, it makes each training mile mean that much more!
