Hi everyone! As many of you know, I run. I run for fun! I know, such an odd bird! I love doing runs for various charities and in the past, that's the main motivation for my miles. This time? I wanted to run for something that means a lot to me and my family. Ian, my son, was diagnosed with Autism in the summer of 2013. This kid has been an inspiration for me from the start. From the beginning when his vocabulary consisted of a total of 10 words...to today where he's learning to have full conversations, he's made friends and he's growing academically by leaps and bounds. For the last 3 summers, I've run the Rock 'N' Roll half marathon, both alone and as part of the remix challenge. This year...I'm running again but I'm doing it for this awesome organization. The organization for autism research was founded by families who have autism in their lives. They provide assistance with services, learning opportunities, research into autism and above all support for families like mine who have entered this challenging world. Please join me in supporting a wonderful cause that above all cares and supports those who have autism and the families who support and love these amazing people! I've pledged to raise $750 at the very least for this awesome charity. Any little bit can help! I thank you and above all, Ian thanks you for your love and support!
